PVC Granule Silo

 

The spiral PVC granule silo is a specialized steel silo storage solution tailored for plastic raw materials like PVC granules. With its high adaptability and ability to preserve material quality, it is widely used in PVC product manufacturing and related industries.

 

  • Main Structure: The silo body is fabricated on-site using coil processing equipment including uncoilers, forming machines, and interlocking machines. Steel plates are bent to create tightly interlocked upper and lower layers, forming 30–40 mm wide spiral ridges. These ridges, with a thickness five times that of the base plate, significantly enhance the silo's capacity to withstand the pressure from accumulated PVC pellets. The silo body is often paired with an inverted conical bottom structure. Some models can also be equipped with internal spiral agitator blades to prevent PVC pellets from clogging the discharge port during unloading.
  • Complementary Components: Beyond the silo body, the complete storage system includes conveying equipment and intelligent control systems. Custom hopper covers and butterfly valves can be fitted with silicone sealing devices. Some configurations incorporate feed hoppers, multiple discharge pipes, and valves to accommodate diverse loading/unloading requirements.

Constructed from thin steel plates, the silo's total weight is only one-sixth that of a concrete silo of equivalent volume, significantly reducing foundation and transportation costs.
  • Highly Customizable and Adaptable: Silo height and diameter can be flexibly customized based on site size and storage capacity. Silos can be configured as standalone units or arranged in dense clusters. Materials include standard steel plates or galvanized steel plates, accommodating diverse PVC pellet storage requirements under varying operating conditions.
  • Convenient Operation and Management: Compatible with level gauges, temperature sensors, and other devices, integrated with intelligent control systems to monitor PVC pellet storage status in real time. Some models can interface with production lines for automated feeding and discharge, reducing manual intervention and enhancing overall production efficiency.
