Gypsum Silos
Spiral gypsum silos are steel plate silos specifically designed for storing gypsum (powdered or granular). With advantages such as airtight moisture resistance, efficient construction, and strong adaptability, they are widely used in gypsum storage and have become core storages in gypsum processing and the building materials industry.
Material Selection: Mainstream choice is Q235B carbon steel (requires anti-corrosion treatment) for standard gypsum storage. For humid or corrosive environments, galvanized steel or 304 stainless steel can be selected to enhance corrosion resistance.
Supporting Systems and Functional Design
Feeding/Discharging System
The silo top features a feed inlet and distribution device to guide even gypsum distribution, preventing localized accumulation and uneven stress. The silo bottom includes a discharge outlet with a screw conveyor/pneumatic conveying chute, with some models incorporating pneumatic arch-breaking devices to prevent gypsum bridging and blockages.
Protection and Corrosion Resistance
The silo's outer walls undergo sandblasting for rust removal followed by anti-corrosion coating (epoxy, polyurethane). For outdoor use, UV-resistant and freeze-proof insulation layers can be added to extend service life. The silo top is equipped with an inspection hatch, ladder, and guardrail for convenient daily operation and maintenance.
Environmental Protection and Monitoring
The silo top can be fitted with pulse dust collection equipment to capture dust generated during feeding, reducing fugitive emissions. Optional level gauges (radar/ultrasonic) enable real-time monitoring of gypsum reserves for precise control of feed/discharge rhythms.
Suitable Materials
Specially designed for storing various powdered/granular gypsum types including building gypsum, desulfurization gypsum, and phosphogypsum. Also compatible with other powdered construction materials like fly ash and mineral powder.

Widely used in gypsum board plants, gypsum powder processing facilities, building material factories, and thermal power plants (for desulfurization gypsum storage). Serves as a raw material transfer or long-term reserve facility, bridging gypsum production, processing, and usage to ensure continuous production line feeding.
