Spiral-welded carbon petroleum coke silos feature a sealed structure crafted through spiral-welded edge technology. Precisely addressing storage challenges such as petroleum coke's spontaneous combustion, dust dispersion, and moisture-induced caking, these silos are widely used in petrochemical, metallurgical, and carbon industries.
Core Structural Design
The cylindrical silo body is manufactured from premium galvanized steel or carbon steel, formed through spiral rolling and interlocking by specialized machinery. This process significantly enhances overall strength and load-bearing capacity. Sizes are customizable, with individual silo capacities ranging from thousands to tens of thousands of tons to accommodate diverse storage requirements.
The silo base is typically designed with a conical structure to minimize dead zones in petroleum coke accumulation, ensuring smooth discharge. When integrated with ventilation ducts, it facilitates uniform airflow throughout the silo.
Silo walls often feature dual-layer protection: the inner layer is coated with wear-resistant and anti-corrosive material to withstand mild corrosion from petroleum coke, while the outer layer combines galvanization with anti-corrosive spray paint to extend outdoor service life.
