Prefabricated Plate Silo

Prefabricated steel silos are storage facilities assembled on-site using high-strength bolts to connect factory-prefabricated standardized components (silo wall panels, silo roof, silo base, stiffeners, etc.). Their core characteristic is “factory prefabrication + on-site assembly,” differing from spiral-locked silos (“on-site roll-formed locking”) and welded silos (“on-site welded forming”). This approach offers unique advantages in standardization, flexibility, and relocatability, making them a key choice for small-to-medium capacity storage scenarios.

Prefabricated Steel Silos

Prefabricated steel silos are storage facilities assembled on-site using high-strength bolts to connect factory-prefabricated standardized components (silo wall panels, silo roof, silo base, stiffeners, etc.). Their core characteristic is "factory prefabrication + on-site assembly," differing from spiral-locked silos ("on-site roll-formed locking") and welded silos ("on-site welded forming"). This approach offers unique advantages in standardization, flexibility, and relocatability, making them a key choice for small-to-medium capacity storage scenarios.

Core Structural Composition: Modular Combination of Standardized Components

The core advantage of prefabricated steel silos stems from "standardized design + modular assembly." The entire structure is assembled from prefabricated components, offering high disassembly capability:

  • Silo Wall System: Core components are standardized silo wall panels (typically Q235/Q345 low-carbon steel, 2-6mm thick), commonly available in corrugated or profiled configurations (enhancing rigidity). Each panel features uniform dimensions (typically 500-1000mm width, 1000-1500mm height) with pre-drilled bolt holes along edges. These panels connect to adjacent sections and stiffeners via high-strength bolts (Grade 8.8/10.9) to form cylindrical silo walls. Vertical/circumferential stiffeners may be added to large-diameter silos to enhance lateral pressure resistance.
  • Roof System: Precast conical or domed roofs comprise a roof panel, roof beams, and support structure, bolted to the top flange of the silo wall. Roofs feature discharge ports, ventilation openings, and access hatches, with optional rainproofing and lightning protection devices.
  • Bin Bottom System: Comprises flat bottoms (precast reinforced concrete slab + wall supports) and conical bottoms (precast tapered steel plate for gravity discharge). Bottom openings include discharge ports and cleaning hatches, compatible with screw conveyors, chutes, and other discharge equipment.
  • Supporting Systems: Customizable intelligent equipment including ventilation, temperature monitoring, material level detection, fumigation (for grain storage), and dust collection (for powder storage) can be added to achieve standardized system upgrades.

Core Features: Dual Advantages of Standardization and Flexibility

● Factory Prefabrication, Controlled Quality: All silo components are manufactured in-house using specialized equipment, ensuring high dimensional accuracy (tolerance ≤1mm) and standardized corrosion protection (hot-dip galvanizing, anti-corrosion coating application). This eliminates on-site welding or rolling process variations, delivering consistent silo quality with a service life of 20-30 years.

● On-site Assembly, Efficient and Convenient: Requires no large-scale rolling equipment or welding teams. Only standard tools like cranes and wrenches are needed. The construction process is straightforward (component hoisting → bolting → sealing → auxiliary installation). The construction cycle for a single silo falls between that of spiral silos and welded silos (a 10m diameter silo takes approximately 7-15 days to complete). Construction is minimally affected by weather (pre-treatment of indoor components can be done during rainy days, with rapid assembly possible on sunny days).

● Flexible Adaptability, Relocatable and Expandable: Single-silo capacity ranges from 500 to 20,000 m³, with diameters from 5 to 40 m. Height adjusts by adding or removing silo wall layers (each additional layer increases height by 1-1.5 m). Bolted, disassemblable design allows deconstruction after project completion, transportation to new sites, and reassembly. Relocation costs are only 30-40% of new construction, making it ideal for temporary storage or project-based needs. Supports multi-unit side-by-side or interconnected configurations, suitable for space-constrained large-scale storage scenarios (e.g., farm cluster warehouses, small industrial park transit warehouses).
